Fungal nail infections are caused by the fungus Tinea Uguium. They can appear thick and yellow, brown or black and can and can quickly spread throughout all the nails of the feet, making treatment harder.
Nail fungus is a common condition that begins as a white or yellow spot under the tip of your toenail. As the fungal infection goes deeper, nail fungus may cause your nail to discolour, thicken and crumble at the edge. If untreated it can affect several nails.
